Mumbai is the city of strategic importance and one of the most populous metropolises in the world. It the capital Maharashtra state and considered to be the commercial capital of the nation. The city is located on the west coast of India on an island with a natural harbor. The city has grown tremendously in all respect. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (Mumbai airport) is one of the busiest airports in India, a hub for cargo and passenger flights.

The airport has two distinct terminals- domestic terminal and international terminal. Being the major international airport it is obvious to be the busiest one handling up to 45 landings and take off per hour. The airport is well equipped with all the facilities once you land on this airport you will come across the immigration, baggage retrieval and custom areas those lead to other services of the airport.

There are bank counters outside the custom area, making it fairly easy for the tourists to obtain Exchange. In addition to this there is availability of hotel bookings and pre-paid taxis. The arrival area does not have shops but the departure lounges have some shopping centers. This shopping area also includes Exchange, restaurant and snack bar. The check in and emigration becomes more hectic due to more traffic inflow in the evening. Both the arrival and departure have phone facility for the passengers.
